The Big Show at The Joe took place Wednesday night with headlining performers Trey Songz and Chris Brown. The night also included performances by Lil Yachty and “Juju On That Beat” artists Zay Hilfigerrr and Zayion McCall.
Apparently, Trey’s set time was up and that’s when they cut his mic and Trey responded back with an alleged violent outburst — the situation ended with a Detroit police sergeant’s concussion.
Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy announced charges Thursday against Tremaine Neverson (Trey Songz), 32: one county of assaulting a police officer causing injury, and one county of aggravated assault. He was arraigned before Magistrate Dawn White and given a bond of $25,000/10 percent, according to court records.
Detroit Police Department spokesman and Officer dan Donakowski, said Songz became became “upset and belligerent,” throwing microphones and speakers when he was told that he needed to leave the stage because his time was up.
He is due back in court for a probable cause conference on Jan. 5 at 8:30 a.m. and a preliminary examination on Jan. 11 at 9 a.m., both before Judge Lydia Nance Adams at the Frank Murphy Hall of Justice.
